about me, I want this

Little boxes…

  1. Lavender and Lilies says:

I have been searching for a stack of pretty boxes for my house. Also I know the excitement of the tiffany blue box. I can't throw them away even after I have opened it. I love those boxes.

  2. Appletree says:

So cute. I love that little trinket on top of your orange box. And I have that same cupcakes cookbook. I got a puppy for Valentines day. I begged and cried for it. Also every year I tell him I want chocolate and every year he gets me the same Ghiardelli squares that I by myself at Target each week. Then I tell him I want a heart shaped box of chocolate and then he says, I thought you would think those are cheesy. I love cheesy. Every year, the same conversation. Sorry for the novel. I will stop now.

  3. Helena - A Diary of Lovely says:

oooh how nice, I have to check if they sell them in England, it's a good way to soothe the Hermes craving 🙂 and the chocolate one too!
    Thanks for sharing

  4. Marija says:

Ah! Love that! I do love the happy bright, well crafter Hermes box but who could pass up an equally gorgeous box with some sweets inside?! Marija

  5. Erika @ BluLabel Bungalow says:

I hoard my tiffany's boxes from wedding gifts still!! Love them!

  10. Averill says:

Dave's gift to me was fixing a few dings my car has picked up over the last few years — not particularly romantic, but very much appreciated!

  11. emily says:

Forgive me, but I can't figure out how to sign up for email updates for your blog! I can see where to follow you on twitter, and subscribe via feeds that you have to actively check (but then I always forget to check) but I don't see where to get email updates.

    Thanks!
    Emily

  12. Elizabeth says:

Ooooh what's better than an Hermes box!? Do you think its weird I think the 2 best shades of Orange are on an Hermes box and a Veuve Cliquot label?? My latest search is for a pretty vintage hate box!

  13. bazaarofserendipity says:

chocolate and a pretty box. What more could you want?

  14. Risley says:

  16. benson says:

I'm thinking of all the chocolate I'm going to have to eat to get a few great boxes…it would be worth it!

  17. Christen says:

I totally agree – I would take a Hermes box over a Tiffany's box any day. For both the box and what's inside! Love this post!

  18. Laurie says:

I have always loved the Tiffany box but have never seen the Hermes box although I've been wanting the Hermes serving tray for years! Isn't it funny a color can evoke such strong feelings! I had a great Valentine's Day, my hubby and I always try a new restaurant and have a date night out!

  19. Southern Aspirations says:

Big fan of orange- both the pop of color and in the Hermes box. Great find on the chocolates!

    Happy Valentine's Day!!

  20. Nikki says:

My college roommates Dad is the Manager of Tiffany's in Seattle. We use to go in and they'd let us try on the jewels. We had quite a few little blue boxes too…but they were empty.

Love the turquoise and orange together!

  21. Emily says:

I love printed boxes, Tory Burch's shoe boxes are awesome too and they bring alot of color to my shoe closet! I love that little nugget ontop of the orange box!

  22. Daniela says:

Eh hem, no comment on the little box above your orange box, that a certain SOMEBODY got you in Croatia.

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]
