Kicked to the curb…

Love all of these fabrics! Where are the geometics and the stripes from, I have been searching for fabrics just like these 🙂

  2. Kiki says:

I love the Duralee brown and green geometric shapes fabric – I think that might look really well with your desk… however, don't know how it will fit alongside your sofa fabric…PS. That was a great find – it will look awesome after you get it reupholstered.

  3. The Lone Dollier says:

  4. Rachel @ La Bella Bungalow says:

I have two favorites. Love the green polka dots and the all pink geometric pattern. Can't wait to see the finished product!

  5. Annie says:

I like the first green with polka dots. Looks like a solid from a distance, but as you get closer, you see the FUN! Plus, it wouldn't clash with the great print on the sofa… so fun!

  6. Kristen says:

geometric, geometric! contrast! i also pick stuff out of the trash – might as well! it is 'green', right? 🙂

  7. Michelle says:

nice find! it's got great lines, and I love your fabric choices!

    Best,
    Michelle

  8. Dayka (Life +Style) says:

my favorite is the green striped fabric!

  9. Anonymous says:

Go with either the green polka dots or neutral with a pop of color on the legs! I love it! I live vicariously through your decorating.

  10. cassie @ hi sugarplum! says:

Great choices (and thanks for the links!!) I love the green polka dots, but wouldn't want to detract much from that fun yellow desk. So my pick would be the orange…fun punch of color, but very complimentary to the desk. Can't wait to see the complete room!

  11. Amy says:

I like that pink geometric! You could always paint the legs a bright green, there is NOTHING wrong with "dumpster diving" as we call it, I like to think of it as "upcycling" 😉 Can't wait to see the changes! *Amy

  12. Chic Geek says:

Love the polka dots! I think I would do green. Can't wait to see the finished product!

  13. Anonymous says:

Where's the desk from? I've been looking for a yellow parsons!

  14. Maria says:

    love the geometric

  15. Kathysue says:

I am loving the geometrics or the stripe. I think the polka dot will look too sweet and have a more solid look once it is on the chair. I would only use the gree dot if you did a welt in the pink/red fab. similar to the trim on the drape. Just a thought!! Kathysue

  16. ConfettiStyle says:

I say for something unexpected and fun like the green or orange dot, or the red/pink geometric. This is your office, your creative space, so go with a fabric that will make you smile everytime you look at it.
Can't wait to see the finished product.

  17. SogniSorrisi says:

I would go with the geometric print. I love your sofa fabric and the desk – so fun! Can't wait to see the finished product.

  18. Alaina @ Live Creating Yourself says:

Pink!! Definitely go pink. Pink chair + yellow desk = happiest place on earth.

  19. lauren @ gathering moss says:

i vote for the pink and white geometric or the green polka dots. i think the geometric would be so festive and bold (and pink!). the polka dots would be a little more subtle but still fun (maybe with an accent pillow in the geometric for when you're not sitting there?)

  20. Stephanie Sabbe says:

I think the pink stripe would be awesome

  21. Miss Wendy says:

I vote for the green polka dots…

  22. MyLittleHappyPlace says:

Oh, my! The orange or lime mini-dots get my vote! You seriously need to document one of these stealth outings – wear your black, burgler's catsuit! 😉

  23. Laura@JourneyChic says:

I love the tiny polka dots – they keep the focus on that pretty sofa fabric. Green would complement the desk really well.

  24. The mad woman behind the blog says:

Orange polka dots, for sure! (Though I'm loving them all!)

  25. Anna See says:

nice job on the dumpster dive! i love the fabric choices you are considering.

  26. MandeeFoFandee says:

nice work, she's a beaut! I vote for the green stripe!

  27. Hello Lover... says:

I'm kind of thinking green stripes!

  28. Sarah says:

Can't wait to see what you decide. Where did you find your sofa fabric? I heart it!

  29. Courtney @ Project Pretty says:

I was scrolling through this post & was thinking to myself, she needs a bold, vertical stripe. And then at the bottom, you showed one. I think it's meant to be. It'll add some drama but not compete with the other patterns & textures in the room.

  30. Heidi McLeod says:

I don't ever take the time to comment but I LOVE re-decorating things so I just had to say that hands down, for sure, 100 % positive, you HAVE to choose the first geometric pattern (the red/pink). That would accent the other colors and patterns in the room PERFECTLY. The green polka dots would be okay but this would be BAM!

  31. LiveLikeYou says:

Great shape on the chair. I LOVE saving trash. It's the way of the future!! My vote is the pink on pink geometric pattern.

  32. Urban Sherp says:

Have been going through the how-do-you-pick-just-one fabric dilemma as well – my vote is for the orange dots, just peachy enough to look great with the yellow, and so sweet. Psyched to see how it turns out.

Now got to figure out what I am going to use – any thoughts?

  33. Debbie@Vintage Scout Interiors says:

Both our upholsterer and our exterminator have recently warned us about picking up "pre-loved" pieces with the bed bug epidemic being spread around. Make sure you sterilize that baby and then go for the pink since it's the only room you can!

  34. Kathy says:

I just stumbled upon your blog and I am in LOVE with the green polka dots! I have a thing for polka dots too but that's something I'll have a hard time getting away with in my house. : )

  35. SM says:

Where did you find the sofa fabric? It is fabulous!

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]
