My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
Would be perfect for a sunroom too! That is pricey though. Hope you find someone to share.
Have a great weekend!
Teresa
love it, especially that nailhead armchair x
sweet sweet table and chairs…
Thanks to you, I'm obsessed with anything greek key, trellis, cross hatch….and don't even get me started on orange! thank goodness I was able to quiet the orange giant by striping my son's room with it!
have a great long weekend!
xoxo, cassie
Dream fabrics include anything from Quadrille, China Seas and Alan Campbell. They have the most lovely fabric and they too have a minimum (something like 5 yards), which can become pretty costly at over $150/yard! It's fun to dream, isn't it?
Happy long weekend!
Right now I'm loving the Thom Filicia for Kravet Faux Bois fabric! I want it for the seating bench in our basement… but need to find somewhere in Toronto that sells it….
Gorgeous! I thought only licensed interior designers could get to the trade discounts- can you please explain?
love the vibrant colors
Having fun reading up on all of your obsessions!
*Some states require interior designers to be licensed. This is not the case for every state you need to check the state in which you will be working.
In the state of NY I believed you need to be licensed. I haven't taken the exam nor do I plan on taking it at the moment. That is why I call myself an interior decorator not designer.
Regardless all you need to get access to to the trade companies is your resale #, business card, business bank account and references from other to the trade companies you already have accounts with.
Hope that helps!
yup! me too. xoxo have a great weekend my sweet.
Thank you for your great (and quick) info on the to the trade industry. Much appreciated.
Love the blog- have a great weekend.

I ADORE that fabric too. I bought two pillows last year and have never used them- they didn't work for my home. I just could not pass them up. I'd love to see them go to a good home- If you are interested let me know and we can talk price! Love your blog! Lynda

C! That is my dream fabric too!!!! I LOVE it!
That fabric is stunning, especially with the nailhead trim. I hope you found someone to split the minimum with 🙂 Are you going to the Rue launch party? I would LOVE to meet up!
When I saw your post this fabric popped in my head (https://www.fabric.com/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=5bad1509-faae-424e-a121-6c66c5ee3ec3), but now that I look at them together, it is not nearly as similar as I thought.
anything Marimekko would make me very very happy 🙂 ever hear of a Marimekko sale?? me neither 🙁
Love love love these fabrics as well – that laundry room has been a favorite of mine for a while now!
I found the fabric at french-brand.com for $142/yd, no yardage minimum. The $40 shipping to the US will still get you, though!
images 3 & 4 are my images and are of my old bedroom from about 3 years ago FYI.
Kind regards,
