Love the "mad men" style vintage barware.

I just bought a bar cart at a local consignment shop for only $35. Score! I love it and may some day use it for it's intended purpose, but right now it's in my kitchen acting as a "coffee cart" when I have friends over for coffee. I'm on the hunt for unique coffee cups so my friends can choose their favorite.

These are pretty. I am not sure if I needs bar cart, but I buy things I don't need all the time:) I think they look very chic and swanky.

Once again we are on the exact same wavelength. Just last week I let a bar cart go at the UES Housing Works. My mister reminded me of our upcoming trip to Mexico and said, "Would you like to bring home a ton of fun things from the flea markets of Mexico and amazing jewlery or would you like this bar cart." (Answer was both of course. In the end, I think I might make my own with some caster wheels and some kind of thrifted table.

I love the idea of a bar cart…haven't found the perfect one yet though!

LOVE bar carts! There was an article about how "COOL" they are in the Memphis Commercial Appeal last winter. LOVED it so much I ran out and bought a set up! Great post.

I LOVE this post! It is such perfect timing! I'm in the process of setting up or "bar" on our buffet and figuring what to put on the tray and what to edit has been challenging.

This has inspired me to find the perfect glass and decanter set! Don't you just love an excuse to go to the vintage and antique stores?

    yay!

  9. Kate {domestikatedlife} says:

My mom just found an amazing "mad men" style bar set that's yellow and gold at a tag sale for $2!

Needless to say I was quite jealous 🙂

I got a great mad men glasses and ice bucket set from High Street Market, one of my favorite sellers.

  11. Laurie Jones says:

As soon as I saw the posting I thought Mad Men before I even got through it. I'm not a big drinker but I love the idea of a bar car because I think it looks very Mad Men and I happen to be obsessed with the show and I think a bar area looks cool and sometimes I'm just about things looking cool!

  12. Mrs. Chic says:

I think bar carts are super cute, since our house is small I'm skipping them. But love to see them in outher people homes!

  13. Megan Elizabeth says:

So chic! I'm working on styling a bar shelving unit rather than a cart. But it's initially the same idea.
I even blogged about it not that long ago.
Now all I have to do is make it look as gorgeous as the ones from Lonny.

  14. pve design says:

I like them, but I also like a cabinet. I really love the vintage bar accessories.

The bar cart at my house has been packed away for the kiddos' teenage years. 🙁 Last one flies the coop this year, so look out world- the Basnett bar will be stocked again.

LOVE! I just posted about my Craigslist bar cart find. I was on the hunt forever and I finally found the perfect one for me and picked it up last night. It adds instant chic to my house.

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.

In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]

Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]

What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
