My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
I LOVE the rockers with orange piping! Why can't I find anything nearly as pretty in Detroit?!? 🙂
The rockers with orange piping are my favorite too! What great finds…
Wow! There were some great finds there! The rockers and ottomans were my favorite!
I agree with everyone else..those chairs with the orange piping are to die for!
ugh, the desk and peacock bech. i die. i was planning on doing a post on monday about the lack of thrifting in my life lately..going to use these picturse and link back of course 🙂
happy weekend love bug!
I am coming down to your thrift store… finding one of those items at mine would be an anomaly.. how do your resist?
I love the advice I read in Bunny Williams book about thrift store shopping: Take inventory of the shape and quality. The bamboo desk could be extraordinary with a coat of paint, for example. I can't believe you found all of that on one trip!
So many great items, I agree taking your time and looking at things twice is always a good thing. That's when I ideas start flowing 🙂
What great finds! I'm on the same page as everyone else – I love the rockers with the orange piping! Happy Friday!
Nice! I'm all about thrifting!
Seriously wish my thrift store had some of this yumminess. I love those chairs and bamboo desk.
Have a great weekend.
I love thrift store shopping and would not have been able to leave with out the faux bamboo desk. Even though I already have one.
I've been a fan of your blog for about a year now. I wish you luck on the pursuit of your career. Can you generously share where is that "One Stop Shop"? I live in NJ, I'm always in the hunt for beautiful things to decorate my new home and this place seems to be a wonderful shop.
Thanks in advance,
Your Fan.
My thrift shop tip:
Even when you have spotted your biggest treasure, act cool about it, untill you have paid for it.
Here in Spain, woman look to other woman instead of picking something out by themselves.
