Weekend Recap: European vacation (sort of)

I kicked off my weekend with a trip to Eataly! There has been a lot of buzz about this new eatery/marketplace and I was afraid that it wouldn’t live up to the hype, but it didn’t disappoint. It’s a little confusing at first, because there are many different stations, but once you loop around it a couple of times you get the lay of the land very easily. I left with a full belly, dessert for the movie (Black Swan was amazing!) and loads of inspiration from the displays and all of the Italian packaging.

I know not everyone can make a quick trip to Eataly because there is currently only one location in NY, but for those of you that want to experience a little bit of it here are some great gift ideas inspired by my visit!

I spent the rest of weekend working on some finishing touches around the house and some videos to share with all of you! I will editing them this week so stay tuned!

    I really want to try Eataly when I’m in NY! What did you have? I’m afraid I won’t be able to narrow down my choices and will just end up eating everything!

get inspired with our own home tour

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
