Hope you all had a lovely weekend. Mine went by way too quickly. Saturday was a work day for me that started bright and early and included Jon and I packing way too many boxes into our truck and heading into Manhattan for a client install.
Of course things never go smoothly and hit a couple of bumps in the road with a pretty big furniture piece arriving with cracks and nicks.
Even though we had a couple little bumps we were able to make some head away and install new lighting:
Which reminds me a lot of this stunner recently featured in Lonny:
We also put up some wallpaper and recovered chairs:
Plus we couldn’t wait and had to test out the new rug in the living room even though we are still waiting on window treatments, chairs, pillows, etc for this room.
Remember disregard everything other than the rug in the room. We all loved it! Ok so maybe my client’s hubby wasn’t too thrilled with it, but he loved that she loved it and we’ll take it!
Our day ended at 10pm, but luckily for me this client’s apt is about 2 blocks away from one of my sisters! So the night ended with us eating some Mexican cuisine and yummy margaritas.
Sunday was spent taking some very well deserved rest. My latest trashy TV obsession? Jerseylicious! What? I never got into Jersey Shore so this show is my little guilty pleasure. 🙂
What were up to? Tackle any projects you want to submit to me and see featured on Effortless Style?
I would love to share pictures of the art wall I did. Alas, I did not measure the bookplates properly and didn’t get it done. => And my closet, while tidier, is not nearly as exciting.

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]
Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]
For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

I love what I’m seeing, the rug alone is fabulous-who cares what the husband thinks!
So funny, I love Kim from Chattafabulous and she just wrote the exact same comment I was going to write. So I’ll just say ditto to Kim!

Oh geez. I need to stop watching it, but I can’t. I now need to find season 1 so I can get the full effect of it.

Hi, Can I ask where you got the wallpaper and rug from? Thanks!
It’s great to see your work! Love the wallpaper and fabrics you used.
Looking gorgeous so far!! Love how dramatically different a room can look with fresh wallpaper and a pretty rug!
I would love to share pictures of the art wall I did. Alas, I did not measure the bookplates properly and didn’t get it done. => And my closet, while tidier, is not nearly as exciting.
Love the rug, chair fabric, light fixture….and hung paper in one day! Great job!
OMG Love the wallpaper, love the rug, love the light fixture… love it all!!!
I know that this is like the 8th time someone has asked, but WHERE is the rug from?!! Absolutely dying to know.
The Khanjali Peacock fabric is usually on back order at Lewis and Sheron here in ATL. It’s one of my favorite (and affordable) patterns these days!
That wallpaper is gorgeous!
Hey, where did you get that drum pendant?
It’s from overstock and looks pretty close to a favorite Jonathan Adler light that I love.
