  9. I too have had an account for months and have yet to do anything with it. I love your simple explanation of how it works because obviously now I’m going to start using it immediately! I will definitely start following your boards! If you would like to follow me (I promise they won’t be empty for long) I’m Morgan Laske (atddesign).

  10. I love it too…but it drags and slows down my computer. Never the less, I love it and continue to use it! Hopefully they’ll just work out the bugs!

Pinterest (just one word) DOES look pretty cool, but I have Tumblr already. I think I may just take the plunge and get Pinterest now too. LOL. Maybe I could just spend a day or two transferring all my images. 😉

Thanks for the additional inspiration and motivation! 🙂

  12. Sara says:

I just signed up last week, but haven’t added anything yet. I’m still figuring out the set up a little bit. Just added to follow you :). I’m excited to get going on it…it really seems like a brilliant way to keep track of things in one easy, visually accessible place.

  14. This is genius! I was trying to post on an item today that I had saved on my computer and had absolutely no idea where I had found it. Thank you for this (as I am obviously late to the party too!).

  15. Thank you for letting us know about pinterest.com! I am always loosing track of fantastic photos that inspire me in one way or the other. I just requested an invitation to join. 😀

Also, because it’s such a great idea for all of those interested in design, I’m also going to post about it on my blog (Let’s Talk About Floors) and I’d love to quote your post some (with a link to the orriginal post, of course). If this is not ok, please let me know! The post is to go live on the 23rd of Feb.

    Have Fun!

I love Pinterest – but I’m so bad at it – I just dump everything in one board – home – I wonder if I created more boards, I could move things already pinned on to it. Guess I need to spend a bit more time experimenting there!

  23. I LOVE Pinterest! I just started following all of your boards and look forward to your future pins 🙂

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.

In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]

Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]

When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]

I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
