  2. Such a fun color palette. I attended a wedding once with the same color scheme and I think it was my favorite ever. The combination of hot pink and orange is so cheerful, perfect for a preteen girl.

  12. I am going to love this room so much…I can already tell!! I love a good orange stripe on clean white walls (did the same in my son’s room!). And yay for the valance tutorial tomorrow…I’m still undecided on the pelmet for my daughter’s window!!!

    Looking fabulous!! I have a similar aged Julia as well whose room is soon getting a redo – her current room has a similar feel to the one you showed. She also wants brighter colors and picked out the PB clear desk chair (no budget for a ghost chair here). So I’ll be very curious to see more about this project!

  17. This room transformation is done so well, not too over the top but yet fun, I love how it is coming along. I just bought 4 of those ghost chairs from Hautelook, of course they aren’t the real thing but they look the same to me. Can’t wait to see the whole room

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
