  1. It’s lovely! I’d keep it black, I always love a pop of black in the room and in this case my eye went directly to this print and why shouldn’t it!!

How have I missed all your dining room posts? Red chest, turquoise chairs, antique table, black chandelier, perfect wall color. I love it all! Would you please share the wall color with us? And for the art, I like the frame black.

  5. Ashley says:

What a lovely piece of art. I’m curious to see what colors you are thinking of painting the frame.

P.S. Bummer about the Gmail situation…whoever hacked into your account is in for a lifetime of bad karma!

  6. Cats says:

I love the black frame! It ties it to your chandelier…so I’d leave it. I’d be more inclined to paint the white Bally frames black – but their fine as they are too – let your statement be the Tina Steele Lindsey piece – just BEAUTIFUL!!

  7. hamptontoes says:

Love Tina’s artwork…I could just look at it for hours. As for framing, I always think the artist knows best how to present the piece of work…ask her for her input! As for your e-mail, that absolutely stinks.

  8. caitlin says:

this piece is so gorgeous!! i love it. i like how the black makes the art stand out…

  9. That is a great painting, but I think it might be lovelier in a gold frame – just me.
Sorry about all the Gmail crapola – ugh.

  10. oh, I love that painting!! That’s the perfect spot for it!

  11. I vote black. Relates to the other art and your chandelier.

  12. margaret says:

How about navy on the frame?
So sorry about your gmail mess. It must be very surreal having someone change your stuff! Not the sort of thing you think of with hackers . . . a decorating blog? Must be so frustrating.

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.

In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]

Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]

I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details.
