Weekend Recap: Snapshots of the weekend
This weekend started out on a wonderful note. I got word that my latest obsession had been featured on Elle Decor’s site!
Here is a peek into what it was:
We also went and registered. Thank you all so much for your helpful hints & tips. I think we did a good job. It was a bit overwhelming especially in the stroller section, but we survived.
We went with the City Mini Stroller & Peg-Perego Primo Viaggio Infact car seat:

Added new pillows to the living room:
{My favorite fabric,David Hicks Fiorentina is finally mine all mine. Of course now the sofa has way to many pillows so I’ll need to move some.}
Totally tried getting Jon’s etsy shop set up this weekend. Of course projects got in the way and I’m going to have to do it this week. Stay tuned. I swear it’s happening! It’s number 1 on my to-do list.
We did make some progress though. We got a logo finalized:
{Our beautiful logo was designed by the lovely Mattie at Puddleduck Designs. She was amazing to work with. Totally understood what I wanted and tweaked it a bunch of times until we loved it! Also turns out she is a blog reader of mine! Small world.}
We pick Him & Her since it’s a collaboration between the two of us. I pick out the color combos and Jon makes them to come to life.

Best part of the weekend? My youngest sister finally got home. She had been off in South Africa for almost 2 weeks for work and after a crazy long flight, alternate landing in Philly due to rain and 3 hour bus ride to the airport and then a 45 min taxi ride she was HOME!
{She is leaving all of us to go to London for the year and get her masters at the London School of Economics in September. Let’s just say I’m not dealing with it well. I constantly ask her if she wants to reconsider it. Jon tried convincing her masters wouldn’t be valid in the U.S. 🙂 Nothing has worked thus far. }
I hope you all had a great weekend as well. Both of my sisters are off tomorrow along with my mom so I’m hoping to get some girl time today!

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
You will LOVE the City Mini – I bought the double (in the orange and gray colorway, too) and it steers like it’s on rails – even with the 50 additional lbs that are my two girls.
I meant to put in my two-cents worth the other day about registering, and didn’t get around to it, but I will say my most-used item was my Boppy – both for nursing and just support holding the baby.
If you’re interested in a baby carrier, I’ve heard the Ergo is a dream.
SO loving the artwork – great job, you two!
I had the Peg-Perego Primo Viaggio car seat, I actually used it with both my children. Please be forewarned, it is very heavy with baby inside and non-ergonomic. We could never find a comfortable way to carry it, and with my second I ended up with tennis elbow from lifting the stupid thing wrong so many times. I didn’t want to spend for a new carseat when mine was perfectly fine, but there are many options on the market that are lighter and easier to carry! I really debated posting this since they are so pretty but I wished I had been warned.
oh, just a masters from the london school of economics. no big deal…
while I am trying to find any masters program that will accept me..the university of toledo is looking up!

You will LOVE the City Mini!! Its my third stroller and by far the only one i have enjoyed! So smooth and easy to open and close. I did buy the kid tray to add on to it which is great for snacks and drinks and miscellaneous toys!

It’s Misia by Manuel Canovas. It’s only available to the trade and sadly on the really pricey side. I had lusted after for months and months so about a year ago I splurged and picked up two yards.

Awww, thanks for the end of the post Cam! It warmed my little heart! I also forgot that I made you take that picture of me with the pretty background in your dining room! haha. I’m not dealing with this well either but at least I live only a hop, skip, and jump away from you and the little nugget for the time being!
