Hope you all had a lovely weekend and enjoyed your Father’s day weekend.
I started my weekend with a floral surprise from my sweet Dad!
We started the weekend off with a bang. I got dressed in my favorite skinny pink pants and hit WW where I lost another 1.2 for a total of 8 pounds in 7 weeks. Not too bad!
We decided to start our Father’s day celebrations a day early and headed out to Bear Mountain.
We enjoyed all the scenic views and had a little time for cuddles too.
After a day of fun in the sun we headed home and stopped at the market to pick up some supplies for a Father’s day get together. While I picked up some food Hudson found his on little treat.
Saturday night I baked a little 1/2 birthday cake to celebrate Hudson’s 1/2 birthday. I figured you only turn 6 months once and you might as well celebrate with some sprinkles.
Sunday morning Jon woke up to a Father’s day surprise! Jon has always loved vintage music concert posters so I worked with artist Chay Hayes on a piece for Jon.
Etsy did me good this holiday, because I also picked up a gift for the grandpa’s on etsy from artist Elizabeth Mayville. I don’t have my father in laws piece yet, but here is what she did for my dad:

That she turned into this:
He loved it! There were tears and all.
After gifts we had some fun with family and Hudson enjoyed his new swing:
{I swear he loved the swing. I just caught him in a serious moment. 🙂 Thanks Grandma and Grandpa P!}
All in all it was a great weekend. Anyone else have etsy come to the rescue with Father’s day gift ideas?
P.S. Sorry for all of the Hudson pics. I’m just a proud momma and can’t help myself.

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
