HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

I know that I might be in the minority here, but I hate Ikea sofas. There I said it! I see lots of bloggers out there sing the praises to a many sofas from the Blue & Yellow mecca for affordable furniture, but I never recommend them to clients. I personally don’t find them to […]

Budget Sofa Finds

Yesterday I went to RugsUSA to check out some of their rugs. You see my mom is looking into switching up some things in her home, but she was afraid about ordering a rug online. She liked all of the patterns I was showing her, but didn’t like that she couldn’t tell how thick they […]

about me

Scenes from my weekend…

Last year around this time my wardrobe consisted of 99% leggings due to my expending preggo belly.  Now that the belly is gone and Hudson is about 10 months old I’m left with a very stale wardrobe. I hate everything in my closet, but at I’m at a loss for what to pick up, because […]

Between the cobalt, green and orange I couldn’t pick a favorite! Could you? I love them all. They are available plain, with […]

Treat yo self: Slippers

I was recently helping a friend secure some artwork for his soon to be new apartment. I typically don’t decorate in a masculine style, but since he asked for help I figured I would give it a go. He works in the science field and really loved the look of vintage school charts like the […]

DIY Faux Watercolor

I have loved Black Crow Studios work for quite some time now. I declared my love for them first back in May of 2011. Take a peek at their work: I’ve been a woman obsessed with figuring out a way to get this wallpaper into my own home. I have never even priced it out, […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
