HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

I haven’t been able to get my eyes off of this entryway designed by Suellen Gregory Interior Design: Stunning, right? I’m obsessed. I need clients that are daring enough to go as bold as this space. Check out that wallpaper! Plus the amazing navy and sunshine color combo! If I actually had an entry way […]

Navy & Sunshine Entryway Style Plan

I go to extremes with my jewelry choices. I either go for big, bold and chunky or simple and delicate. When I stopped by Grace from Stripes and Sequins blog I knew right away what this weeks treat yo self item was going to be. Look at that dainty G! It was just screaming, Camila […]

Treat yo self…Letters

While taking in the sneak peek of Rebekka and Manley Seale the one design element that I was super jealous of was their honey bee wallpaper. I loved the metallic sheen to them and that they were a nice classic design element in their homes. To some people it may seem a bit too traditional, […]

YOU DID WHAT

You did what? Stamped walls

Taken note from this mornings post I just had to share these amazing striped window panels. Close up: They are $69 a panel ( 84″ length for Rod pocket) which might seem on the high side to some, but as a designer I can tell you they are very reasonable. When I factor in the […]

Ready made striped window panels

Ah what it is about a great stripe that makes my heart go pitter patter? I’ve never met a stripe I didn’t love, but I must admit I have my favorites and it all has to do with the spacing in between the stripes. This stunning gown by Oscar de la Renta has been popping […]

Say it with Stripes

Fall is upon us in NY and I couldn’t be happier! There was a chill in the air early Saturday morning and I was able to whip out my coziest sweater and Uggs. I also painted my nails my favorite shade for Fall, Chinchilly by Essie. We got up early and got little Hudson all […]

about me, weekend recap

Scenes from my weekend…

Time for edition 2 of mini me decorating. As you probably remember I took one of my former clients, Julia to the Duralee showroom with me and we had some fun picking out some fabric combos to use as inspiration for pre-teen/teen girls bedrooms. Two weeks ago we tackled a colorful and playful style plan […]

I love fresh flowers, but lets face it sometimes you can’t find the perfect combo of colors/flowers you want or it may start to be an expensive habit if you are having assortments made from a florist instead of doing it yourself. When I saw this beautiful bouquet print from Mai Autumn I knew right […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
