Hope you all had a relaxing weekend. Since Jon is still on the mend from his surgery we took things a bit easy, but I did manage to get a couple of things accomplished.
I went back to the thrift store and picked up some of my favorite finds from last weekend. I now have a garage full of revamping furniture projects. So excited!
I also headed to the Duralee outletand snagged yards and yards for this amazing John Robshaw fabricfor less than what one yard costs.
My mom also decided she wanted a brighter and more cheerful family room so we are searching for the perfect new fabric to be our jumping off point and we found it with this beauty:
From our main fabric we wondered around some more and found a handful of brightly colored accent fabrics:
Can’t wait to see it all come together. We are on a tight time crunch for it, because we want it all wrapped up before Hudson’s upcoming baptism so stay tuned. I have so many finished projects that need to be photographed so get excited for some upcoming design goodness!
Speaking of Hudson’s baptism I was helping my sister pick up some bottles of wine for a thank you gift and stumble upon some perfect wines for Hudson’s party. In honor of his furry brothers we have MooBuzz for Moo:
And Bear Point for Bear:
Fun, right. I think they would be a fun/cute touch for the lunch we are holding after the Baptism.
On Saturday night we went back in time and headed to our local bowling alley for a little rock and bowl:
The last time I went bowling I specifically remember that I found out Princess Diana had passed away. That was in 1997. So let’s just say I was a bit rusty. I don’t think I broke a 100 once. Horrible, but fun.
On Sunday I ran some errands around town with my two favorite men:
{How cute are they in their matching shirts! I felt so left out. I need to get myself one.}
The cherry on my weekend sundae was finding this sweet little elephant vase at another thrift store:
{Lessens the blow a little bit for missing out on these lamps.}
How was your weekend? Was fun had? Did you have a chance to check out my 1st installment of my mini me decorating series?

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
Love the fabric finds! I LOVE bowling I can’t believe you haven’t been in so long- I go all the time! The elephant vase is too cute
Did you get the MooBuzz? I saw it as well, but wasn’t sure if it’s too sweet. (PS – LOVE Stews!!)
I actually didn’t pick it up yet, but I thought the same thing. The description sounds like it might be really sweet. I will keep you posted!
