DIY ABSTRACT COLLAGE ARTWORK
Hi All,
This week is going to be full of fun and easy DIY gifts that you can make for your friends and family on your holiday gift lists or perhaps just make them as a gift for yourself.

Since I had all of the supplies already this project was done for nothing! Most of the supplies like the cardstock and glue are probably already in your office. I went to Home Depot and snagged some colorful paint swatches from Glidden. They had the most amazing colors!
Step 1: In order to get the colored paper with the white edges I realized you couldn’t use construction paper. Now you could use scrapbooking paper, but I figured that could get pricey so the paint swatches were the perfect paper. While I was ripping the paper I started to arrange the pieces like a puzzle. No need to try and make perfect shapes the more abstract the better.
Step 2: In order to get them down and not lose my placement I started at the upper left hand corner and went clockwise. Worked perfectly. During my gluing my glue stick ran out and I had to use a fabric glue. It worked just as well.
Step 3: Let it dry/set and make sure none of the edges are raised.
Step 4: Pick out a pretty frame and frame it!
Super easy project that literally took minutes! I have mine hanging in my gallery wall and it’s my latest obsession.

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
I mean it must be said. That looks fabulous. And let’s be honest, a homemade gift is far better than a store bought. You are a genius face.

This is so cute! It looks simple enough that I may even be able to do it. I am thinking mine may need some glittery paper mixed in 🙂
