My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
My hub loves that style so we have a mix in our home. It does lend itself to a more masculine look and I tend to prefer curvier pieces. It’s funny, in our area- mid century furniture is not very popular so it’s fairly easy to find at affordable prices.
My mother-in-law has two of those chairs (mid right and bottom right)! She would probably love that site!
Thanks for this! I have eclectic taste and like to mix a bit of modern with more traditional. I’ve been searching for a mid century coffee table, so I’ll definitely check out this site!
I used to live in a mid-century home and fell in love with the style then. It doesn’t fit with our current house, but I still like the look. Thanks for the post; I’m sharing it with a friend!
I live in California, so I won’t be able to go the store, the prices are great, how is the quality?
This could be a great resource for budget conscious rooms. Thanks! Anna
