HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

Jon always thinks I’m “finished” with a room in our house and then I get to surprise him and tell me that a. I will never be “finished” and b. I have something new I want to do. Hudson’s toys have been taking over our living room. I’ve been trying to figure out different ways […]

treat yo self

Treat yo self…Belquist Pillow

You know when you go to Ikea to pick up one specific item and end up wandering around and adding way too many items to your cart and then pick up a chocolate bar (damn the diet!) on the line because it’s oh so long and then leave to get your car and realize you […]

What you need to buy at Ikea…

{Boston Needlepoint Pillow} Yesterday started out like any other day. Feet were dragging a bit in the morning as I tried to get into my typical Monday routine and head out the door for Hudson’s music class, ran some errands after class, had lunch and then prepped for a business call and continued to work […]

In a Boston state of mind…

This weekend started out right with my new bedding from Crane and Canopy. Can’t wait to show you guys what I picked! I’m dying to put the new duvet and shams on the bed, but I’m also terrified Hudson or the dogs are going to get it dirty in a matter of seconds. Went over […]

weekend recap

Scenes from my weekend…

I came across today’s featured lady from one of my favorite pals, Chassity from Look Love Linger.  Chassity lives in Charleston and is surrounded by some super talented friends. One day she had a picture of some art by her friend Way Way a fellow artist and resident of Charleston who is also a blogger […]

In her shoes

IN HER SHOES: Blue Chickadee

This weeks treat yo self pick is a great little gift for yourself or a friend. It would make for an especially good bridal shower treat. I stumbled upon  a set of monogrammed petite plates when I was browsing through Mandy’s shop and I think you will agree that they are a must have. For […]

Treat yo self: Petite Plates

This year it felt like Spring was never going to get here, but this week it finally looks like Spring has hit our neck of the woods. I was out in bare legs today and dare I say it I actually complained for a second that it was too hot. Ah the grass is always […]

Outdoor Living: The Before

In NYC apartment rentals typically come in one of two sizes, tiny or teeny tiny. When it comes to actually buying an apartment you are pretty much stuck in the teeny tiny zone, but since you are in NYC all of your friends and family are insanely jealous of your teeny tiny space so it’s […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
