Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! We got hit with a heatwave which was nice and while we originally had plans to get work done we decided to play hooky and go enjoy the sun.
We hit a local outdoor festival where Hudson got to play on a some boats:
The festival was right along side docks/boat slips so we got to just sit and relax and enjoy the view too.
{Trying to get a little sun on my pale legs.}
On our way home we spotted at a local classic on Long Island’s South Shore called, All Americanfrom some burgers and fries.
I did manage to squeeze in a little work during Hudson’s afternoon nap:
{Making some old school floor plans.}
We finished off our day by visiting Jon’s grandma in order to wish her a happy 90th birthday! I was lucky enough to spy an amazing peony bush in her backyard during our visit:
Grandma told me I cut some so I came home with some pretties for my kitchen:
Saturday was a rough night with Hudson. Jon and I were both up with him on and off from 2 am to 7 am. Not fun. Poor little guy just kept crying and crying.
Sunday morning while Hudson napped I got to do a bit more work:
I also got to admire my newly painted bedroom scones:
We then got ready for the day and I got to take my new necklace out for a swing:
We then spent the rest of the day celebrating my SIL, Jenn’s birthday! Here I am testing out some of her birthday gift:
Our little guy still wasn’t feeling well so our afternoon was spent napping and fighting a fever. We did lots of snuggling.
All in all a very full weekend! I’m ready for the next one. Can’t believe it’s June already!!!

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
Your weekend is tiring me out from just reading this…poor Hudson!
I know! Poor little guy. Things got worse this morning, but he was starting to look a little better by bedtime tonight.
how is that little guy?? do you think it is from teething ? He is such a pleasant appearing little man.
