Since the end of the week is upon us I figured I would treat myself to a little celebration as part of this campaign and the beginning of the holiday weekend.
As a busy mom I rarely have any “me” time, but I decided to take a couple of minutes to myself the other morning to take care of myself and my skin. I thought the days of blemishes were over in my teens, but alas my early 30’s have bought me back to my youth and on occasion I get one or two and I don’t love the idea of using harsh chemicals so I went the natural route and found an easy and inexpensive honey baking soda mask.
Here is what you’ll need:
-1 tablespoon of baking soda
-1 1/4 tablespoon of honey
Once you measure out your ingredients simply add the baking soda to the honey:
Then mix it up until you get a smooth and creamy golden mixture:
Then simply apply to your face:
Let it set for 30 mins:
Then wipe off with a damp cloth:
All done! Your face may be a little red right after you wipe off the mask, but in a couple of minutes the red will clear away and your blemishes will start to shrink and your skin will be oh so soft.
If you have any extra you can store it in a closed container and it will be good for 1 week.
Easy and the perfect way to celebrate the start of the weekend!

Thanks for sharing! I’ve gone as natural as possible for my face lately and actually do an oil cleanse each night. I use grapeseed oil, and my skin has never felt softer. My skin is super sensitive so finding natural remedies for things has become even more important to me.
I have used a pasty baking soda wash that gets rinsed away at the time.
How would you think this mask recipe would be for a regular beauty treatment, sort of like a maintenance sort of thing ? Soda for cleaning/exfoliating and the honey healing. ????
I used to have bad acne like I’m talking total pizza face and I used this once a week for 4 weeks and my acne was completely gone. Now I use it. Once every 2 week and my face is awesome.
I’m trying this mixture for facial for the first time and with having sensitive skin i have to be careful what I use or I’m all messed up for couple days and have to use calamine lotion. But no problems with this mixture.

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]
Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]
For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

I love using simple unexpected kitchen ingredients for cleaning and beauty routines. I may have to try this trick.
Salon facials are so expensive, I only treat myself on very rare occasions, but I think I will try this!
