I tend to pride myself on being an excellent gift giver. I really try to think about the person I’m shopping for and find just the perfect thing. Typically if you told me you wanted something it’s immediately off my list, because I want to surprise you with something that screams you, but you didn’t even realize it existed.

One of my favorite places to find out of the ordinary gift ideas is UncommonGoods, so when they contacted me about doing a little product review I jumped at the chance and went through their numerous pages of gifts for the wine lover here, newlyweds needing personalized items here and over 50 items that are less than a $100 here and finally found the perfect thing for my better half.

Jon went to school for Biomedical engineering and spends his days working in a lab so, I knew he would find these genetic code glasses for ADH1A, the human gene that allows your body to metabolize alcohol pretty funny.

Jon loved them and yesterday after work I mixed up a super easy and refreshing drink we call, Smarty Pants!

All you need for this recipe is the following:

–Silver Patron Tequila
-Sparkling Lemonade (I picked ours up at Trader Joes)
-Shaker
-Ice
-Lemon & Lime slices

I went with a 2 parts sparkling lemonade and 1 part tequila mix, but it’s up to you to tweak it as you like.

It’s 5 o’clock somewhere, right? So start mixing!
