This upcoming September the little blog of mine will turn 5! I can’t believe it! In honor of the big 5 I decided to give this blog a little re-fresher.
I will finally be getting my portfolio site up and running and the blog will get a new look as well. I have already started the process and even my logo got a bit updated.
As a little sneak peek here is a moodboard that I was presented by my graphic designer, Kate from Katelyn Brooke Designs.
Now the new site isn’t going to be as colorful as this board. We are trying to get things a bit cleaner so my images whether they be on the blog or my portfolio really shine and not be distracted, but the board above showcases the overall vibe we want.

ON THE BLOG
My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
So loving it! Can’t wait for the big reveal!

5 years? Wow! The vibe you’re going for is super fun and there’s no better reason for a redesign than a blogging anniversary.
Yes! Gorgeous colors, and they seem very “you”! I just refreshed my blog design too, and it definitely helps to get the blogging mojo back. Looking forward to seeing your design, but especially your portfolio – I’ve hopefully clicked on that link so many times!

p.s. Do you know where that fabric on the chair in the bottom photo is from?
exciting. just one request A recent update on a really great blog resulted in a two color page and the writing is the same color on both colors and the second border oolor is the same as the written word. Guess what can only read part of the entry and must use imagination for filling in. loses something in the translation.
