Hope you all had a lovely weekend. We had a couple of days full of errands a little fun and lets face it a nap or two!
On Saturday we headed out to the beach to pick up a beach permit for our truck. It was a beautiful day so go out and check out the water even if it was a bit chilly.
Since we were out east a bit we stopped at the Duralee outletto check out if they had any goodies. I left empty handed which normally does not happen, but they did have a really pretty selection of chintz fabrics that were all made in England.
On the way home we also popped into Christmas Tree Shopsand picked up some pretty terracotta dinnerware. Totally regretting not picking more, but luckily they is now online shopping available on their site!
They also had this cute grey/white fretwork rug in a 5 x 7 for only $30!!!!! Not it’s not a high end rug at all, but if you are on a budget or simply want to try out a trend before committing big bucks to a better quality rug I think it’s great buy.
Of course after all of that running around we spent the afternoon doing a little of this!
{Found this totally unattractive picture of me and Hudson sleeping on my cell. What a sneaky husband I have!}
On Sunday we took Hudson for his first trip to the circus!
He was super excited in the beginning and kept saying, “WOW” and clapping and of course roaring at everyone around him, because he loves lions. Then intermission happened and he got a little freedom to walk around and everything went downhill from there. He no longer wanted to sit in the seats and there was a lot more people performing and less animals in the second account act so we headed home a little early.
Back at home I worked on some gallery wall arrangements for a wall I’m doing at my parents house. After numerous mock ups I finally found the perfect one and made sure to take lots of pictures of it to remember where everything went.
My men also did some work for me. I’ve been slowly trying to update Jon’s man den and part of that was putting up a new mirror and some scones.
These beautieswent up and I’m very happy with how my little tweaks are brightening the space up a bit.
I’m not going to lie, but we had a little nap as well, but luckily there is no photographic evidence of it. 🙂

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]
Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]
For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]
