Hope you had a lovely weekend. We had one super productive day and then an enjoyable lazy day at home. Best of both worlds. 🙂
On Saturday I headed out with Jon to get some portfolio pictures of a family room I worked on. It’s been finished for a while, but I hadn’t gotten around to taking official pictures yet. Luckily I emailed my client last week and asked to come over to snap some photos, because they are moving and by the end of this week my family room will be broken down and on it’s way to N.J.
My favorite mirror that arrived broken 3 times and eventually I just had to have glass cut at a local shop and my baby bump!
When we wrapped up the photo shoot we headed out with Hudson to enjoy the nice weather we were having. Off to the park we went where my men decided to play around with their battleship in the pond.
Prepping for the water:
Hitting the waves:
We then went to an empty field and built a new kite we got:
Take off:
After all of that fun we headed out for dinner and decided to go a classic here on Long Island, All American Burger!
What’s dinner without a movie so, on the way home we stopped at Redbox and picked out a movie. His pick? Free Birds.
We even had enough time in the day to start cutting Moo’s hair! Hudson loved helping us give him a bath last week and this week he was due for a crazy shave down. Most of the men in Hudson’s life have some sort of facial hair so, it was super funny to see him take Moo’s hair and try and give himself a beard.
Whew! What a packed day!
On Sunday it’s no wonder that we just hung out at home and did a little napping:
Ok so, we did a lot of napping and a bit of movie watching. Then my sister and her boyfriend came over with chili to make us dinner! My parents and other sister came over as well and it was a big family affair. Hudson was super excited.
Dessert was amazing! My sister made some of sort of brown sugar chocolate chip nutella stuffed cookie and they were just what this pregnant lady desired.
The rest of the evening was spent coloring by the fire:
Plus Aunt Ximena got a lot of love! Hudson is currently obsessed with saying that things are his. Every day we hear him say, MINE at least a handful of times. So, when my sister’s boyfriend decided to give her a smooch Hudson ran over to stake his claim and shower her with kisses as well. We were all dying.
Aunt Ximena also got the best goodbye of the evening. For weeks now Jon and I have been trying to get Hudson to say, ” I love you”, but he just hasn’t been feeling it. That evening as his Auntie was leaving she said, “Love you” to him and Hudson blurted out, “Love you too.” Oh so sweet!

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]
Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]
For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]
I would just like to point out that I’m referred to in this as the “other sister.” That’s all.
My other beautiful, sweet and smart sister. 🙂

It was a handmade find from Serena and Lily. Doesn’t look like they have any more in stock. I got it 2 years ago.
