Friday Finds…
This is just a little look at my week. That’s my view from a pumping session (TMI? Sorry) where Hudson decided to entertain himself by playing with a roll of paper towels. What you don’t see in the picture is him running around the kitchen and my office using up a whole roll and two dogs running behind him. TGIF everyone it couldn’t come sooner.
Here are some of my favorite finds from the week:
– Before picking out Asher’s name I hadn’t really heard it a lot. Now I’ve been seeing/hearing it everywhere. Last week I was in a store and stumbled upon Asher’s Chocolate. Of course I had to pick some up in honor of my little man. Let me tell you they were so yummy! I picked up the dark chocolate pretzel bites and they do not disappoint.
-Lately I’m plagued by seeing Hudson’s fingerprints all over my computer. I made the mistake of showing him NickJr’s website one day and it’s now his favorite thing. He loves watching a TV Show and sitting at my desk while pointing at everyone on the screen. Can’t wait to pick up a packet of well kept wipesto clean all of my electronic screens. Plus they have the cutest designs on them, which is of course what made me look into them.
–Greek key trim that comes in a variety of colors (Of course orange is my favorite) is 2 1/2″ wide and only $5.95 a yard!!! Woo-hoo! No soft goods are safe in my house anymore. 🙂
–Ruthie Sommers is of my favorite interior designers. Everything she touches is beautiful and she just seems like a really sweet person. I was happy to find out that she is now a fellow blogger! Follow her at RUTHIE.
-We are going to start working on re-vamping our laundry room, which is currently a sad, sad, place that I spend a good amount of time in. I’ve been pulling inspiration and I’m loving this artwork for the space.

ON THE BLOG
My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
Oh if only the words in that laundry room sign were true! I just finished a laundry room remodel for a client and we framed 8 photographs of laundry hanging on the line from places around the world they had visited in their travels and hung them in a grid against gray striped walls and it is so colorful and fun for her to do laundry and reminisce about past vacations.
I just had my little Asher join us on Monday. I love the name too, but haven’t really seen it anywhere else yet.

I am two weeks in and blogging is actually very therapeutic -But it is hard! I am inspired everyday yet I wonder if people want to hear about what is so personal. Today, for example, I want to blog about all the little small houses I saw in the worst part of town in LA today on my way to the animal shelter.. But then I worry it is not PINTERESTY enough.. Anyway, I love your voice and thank you for connecting me to other people.
