HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

My husband is very outdoorsy and with 2 boys he dreams of the day where we can all head out and go camping. I on the other hand am not that excited. Let’s just say I enjoy the comforts of the indoors and would probably pull a Phyllis Nefler and we would all end up […]

From New York to Michigan

Hi All, Can’t believe another weekend has come and gone. I just want to hit pause some weekends (ok most weekends) and extend them a bit, because it’s so great having Jon home 24/7. This Saturday we started to potty train Hudson! Since it was a nice day out we decided to hang out in […]

Scenes from my weekend…

This is just a little look at my week. That’s my view from a pumping session (TMI? Sorry) where Hudson decided to entertain himself by playing with a roll of paper towels. What you don’t see in the picture is him running around the kitchen and my office using up a whole roll and two […]

Friday Finds…

Last week I shared a super easy DIY project on how to make your own gold trimmed agate lacquered box. Once I finished my boxes I decided to test one out with a new piece of jewelry I received. I think my new necklace might have gotten lost in my DIY post so I needed […]

Treat Yo Self: Handwritten Nameplate Necklace

In recent years beach photography has become very popular. Not just any shots of the beach, but aerial shots where you get to see the pretty water and a slew of colorful beach umbrellas. Photographer Gray Malin is known for his beautiful aerial shots. I’m a huge fan of his work, but I also love […]

DIY Extra Large Aerial Beach Photo in frame

Since we only have two bedrooms I didn’t have a chance to decorate a new nursery for Asher. He is currently rooming with Jon and I and eventually he will be Hudson’s roommate. I didn’t have to make any huge changes in Hudson’s current room for Asher’s arrival, but I did have to tweak a […]

Sideboard turned into Dresser

Hi All, Hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend! We had a lovely weekend with amazing weather! On Saturday Hudson had a birthday party and since Asher is preemie and not suppose to be around large groups of people for a while I stayed home with him. We did a little snuggling. I also had a […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
