Saturday morning started out how most have been starting these past couple of weeks…a trip to WW to get weighed in. 2.2 more pounds of baby weight gone and my pre-pregnancy jeans fit!!!
Once I got home it was time to head right back out with the boys and take them to a Kids workshop at Home Depot.
Hudson loves to go and do a craft. He even bought his own tool box.
Anxiously awaiting for Jon to open up his craft.
Asher was happy to be out and about:
Since all of Saturday called for rain we decided to follow up our craft with a visit to the indoor pool.
Hudson had wanting to go swimming all week so we thought we would love it.
We were wrong! He sat on the edge most of the time.
Asher loved it though and was one sleepy baby while we were showering and getting ready to head back home.
On our way home we hit one of our favorite pizza places, Frantoni’s.They always have a huge array of specialty slices.
I tried out the lasagna pizza and it was delicious!
Then that evening Jon and I got to have a little date night! It’s been way too long since Jon and I went out just the two of us. We headed out to see Gone Girl, because I read the book a while ago and loved it.
The movie was good, but of course my favorite part was seeing this massive candy vending machine.
Sunday had much better weather so after a morning at home we headed out to check out a fair. I had high hopes for it, but sadly it was pretty blah!!!!
Luckily they had animals and Hudson enjoyed feeding the animals:
While Hudson enjoyed feeding them he didn’t like the idea of riding them even though he was super excited online. So, this lady got to ride the camel all by herself with Hudson screaming his head off because he was scared for me being on it.
Even though the fair wasn’t too exciting the weather was lovely. The sun was shining and there was a slight crisp to the air, which meant I could whip out the plaid, boots and oversized scarf. Plus Asher got to sport the cutest cable knit sweater.
When we got home from the fair my sister, Daniela came over with her boyfriend Steve who is currently Hudson’s favorite person. He barely even glanced at his Aunt and was just ran to Steve to tell him how excited he was to see him. So sweet and silly.
They bought over some apples and we got to work baking pies.
The house smelled delicious while they were baking. I love making pies with crumb tops because it’s so much easier than a traditional pie.
You know it’s good when you eat it right out of the pie dish. Forks only, no plates needed.
Yum!
Happy Monday!
My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
sounds like WW is working well for you and you are looking younger especially for having two little ones to care for. So cute seeing your mini Jons.
I keep trying to see more info about WW to see what more there is to it besides a weigh in and how that works with an online membership. Can you direct me to some info.???? tried googling and not much info beyond what I stated above.
Hi Brenda,
WW is the only thing that ever works for me. I’m not a big exerciser so, counting calories is really the only thing that works for me. Used WW when I was losing weight after Hudson and now with Ash. I use etools, which is there points system. You can use it on your phone and track what you eat all day. Depending on your height/weight you have a certain amount of points per day. If you just do an online membership then you weigh yourself and input it into the program. I like going to the WW location to get weighed in. Sometimes I stay for a meeting, but most times I’m short on time so I just get weighed.
Hope that helps!

What a fun weekend!! My daughter studied for SAT this next weekend and my hubby and I did our college schoolwork. We did enjoy watching movies Saturday night and baking chocolate chip peanut butter cookies 🙂
Oh yum! Love when a weekend revolves around some sweet desserts.
