HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

When we first moved into the house, one of the things I disliked immediately was the fireplace hearth tile. It was a terracotta color with dark gray grout, and it was all scratched up due to a fire screen being moved around. Even though it was a red/orange shade it was somewhat neutral because it […]

Before & After: Fireplace Hearth

This Saturday we started out with another soccer class. It’s always a mad dash to get us all dressed and ready and out the door by 8:45am, but we did it! It’s still adorable to watch Hudson throughout the class, but it’s class 3 and the stage mom in me can not be stopped. I […]

Scenes from my weekend…

2015 has been going, going, going around here. Lots of work happening here at Effortless Style, which means I’ve been out and about every day this week. It’s all good though. Feels good to be back in the swing of things after having cut down on things while adjusting to life with two little men. […]

Treat Yo Self: Plaid Wrap Coat

Free Artwork Printables

During one of my weekly Target stops. Who are we kidding sometimes it’s a daily Target run I bumped into this glorious end cap! I know some may be tired of a fretwork pillow, but for me it will always be a classic. I love how they look and they work with so many different […]

$20 Fretwork Pillows!

This weekend was full of puppies and thrifting! Two amazing things in my book. We started our weekend bright and early at soccer for Hudson. I love how cute he looks stretching: Asher and I had fun cheering him on! I also discovered that I’m a complete stage mom. So, need to work on this! […]

Scenes from my weekend…

This week we were back at work and it felt good! -I loved playing around with some fabric pairings for a client and I’m newly obsessed with New Athos by Brunschwig & Fils. I used the blue colorway I while back during this project and used this colorway to recover my parents dining room chairs. […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
