Pattern Play: Preppy Green & Pink
The beginning of March has me inspired for color, color and more color in my designs. What else is new? 😉 If you are feeling the same way as well and love a little or a lot of preppy colors and patterns in your home then this fabric selection is for you! In my mind when you think preppy you think of green and pink. At least in the design world of prep.
Main Floral fabric: La Frutier Fiesta by Brunschwig & Fils. This is an embroidery fabric and the details on it are just amazing. Such a fun punch of color and I love the super sized fruits because they look almost abstract and not like a fruit bowl.
Green Caned fabric: Postino in clover by Jonathan Adler. This pattern has always been very preppy to me and it just has me thinking about Palm Springs and Palm Beach. Love the bright kelly green colorway!
Blue leopard fabric: Tonga Leopard by Brunschwig & Fils. This is another embroidery fabric and it’s another beauty! You know I love a good leopard and this is an amazing one. With it’s super sized spots it just takes it to another. It is so chic looking and works perfectly in this combo.
Multi-colored stripe: Stripe it Up in punch/green by Lee Jofa. It’s part of the Lilly Pulitzer collection which is pretty much the visual representation of Palm Beach. I love a good stripe and the preppy green and pink combo was meant to be a part of this pattern play.
Pink/Cream Large Flame Stitch design: Kazan by Manuel Canovas. Ok so this is a pricey fabric, but anything designed by Manuel Canovas is jaw dropping. Seriously pattern after pattern you will love everything. This is one of my favorites and my dream is to one day have a sofa covered in it!

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
I love all of these! I just bought a house in Florida and want to fill it with color. Love the leopard print the most!

Can you tell us what the background color is on the Le Fruiter pattern? Is the undertone of the neutral a yellowish tea-stained color? Or more of a pale putty green color? Like kaki? Thanks!
