Hudson has wrapped up school and his summer program doesn’t begin until the end of June so, I see many play dates in my near future. Now getting the house ready for kids is super easy. They are always happy with fresh fruit, goldfish and let’s face it some chicken nuggets. I never really know what to make for the moms present. No one ever wants to eat, but you know they are hungry and would nibble if you put something out.
Enter my effortless summer appetizer! I use store bought guacamole (you can totally make your own, but this is effortless, remember?) and plantain chips for dipping! It’s simple, fresh, and the use of plantain chips instead of standard tortilla chips makes it a bit fancier!
It was so easy to set up a little spread on our outdoor striped outdoor coffee table and by using some fresh blooms and pretty plates it elevated the whole spread. Who wouldn’t want to grab a bit of that!
Aren’t this elephant plates adorable? I found them at Christmas Tree Shops last week and I quickly added them along with matching bowls and coffee mugs into my cart.
I just had to give the fresh flowers I little more love! I would have never thought to mix these bold burnt orange roses with pink peonies, but I’m so happy I did, because it totally works and feels so summery to me!
Stay tuned tomorrow for a post of my new favorite flower company! Trust me, it’s a good one!
