For these past couple of weeks I have been working on a handful of nursery designs. I have one little boy thrown in the mix, but the rest are all girls! So, I have been on the hunt for perfectly feminine sconces for lovely little ladies.
Here are my favorites that I’m currently obsessed with:
No. 1: In my book one can never go wrong with Kate Spade. All KS products have such a wonderful sense of whimsy to them and I’m so excited they ventured into lighting. How amazing is this bow sconce!!!!
No. 2: I’m not normally a daisy fan, but I will make an exception for this daisy sconce. So chic with the black and cream color story. Reminds me a bit of Marc Jacobs Daisy perfume bottle.
No. 3: This leaf and berry sconce is gold leafed! Love how dainty and romantic it looks. Plus the use of a round bulb helps keep it modern.
No. 4: Ok, so I said I hated daisy’s, but apparently I need to rethink my stance on them. This Oopsy Daisy sconce is so sweet looking that I can see it working in any girl nursery. Additional perk? It can be installed up or down.
No. 5: What girl doesn’t like pink. Deep down inside I think everyone loves a little pink in their lives and this blush sconce has stolen my heart. Can’t stop thinking about it. Need to find a way to use it in my own home.
No. 6: Rose gold is very hot this year so, I was happy to find a rose gold sconce option. It’s more modern than the rest and a bit funky! Love. Plus it’s plug in, which is a great option that doesn’t require an electrician to hard wire.
Any other swoon worthy options I need to know about?

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
