Effortless Style Book Club!
Ever since I was little I have loved to read. There is nothing better than picking up a book and getting lost in it. I mean so lost that you totally ignore your family and your kids and end up eating cookies for dinner one night because you didn’t cook. Ok, so that didn’t actually happen, but I have been know to totally get lost in a book. Before the days of e-readers I actually packed 7 massive books with me on my honeymoon. One of which was Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett. It is 816 pages such a huge book and I enjoyed every single page of it!
Since I have had kids my reading days have slowed down a bit, but now that they are both a little bit older I had a made a point to start reading again. I’m a fast reader, so I go through books quickly and then the second I’m finished with one and on to the next I’ve forgotten most of the first book. Not good. I can remember I really liked it, but don’t remember all of the details. I thought it would be fun to start up a book club here on Effortless Style. Together we can enjoy the same book and then meet back here a month later and discuss our likes and dislikes!
This month’s book selection is Truly Madly Guilty by Liane Moriarty. I picked up The Husband’s Secret by Liane Moriarty at the start of the summer and I was instantly hooked. Her books are a little dark and thrilling, but also a bit funny with totally relatable characters.

ON THE BLOG
My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
Great idea! Just ordered the book. It is definitely my type of book. I love to read, but only seem to find the time on vacation. This should give me the prod I need to take the time to read more.
I read The Husband’s Secret. I love her books. I’ve been reading about a book every couple of days at night on my Kindle. It is backlit and I don’t have to turn on the light when it’s so hot, so I love it!
