I think I’m going to start making Wednesday’s all about Style Plan’s. Just a little glimpse into my design process and design style. Today we are tackling a master bedroom that wants to be feminine and floral, but not at all like Laura Ashley and dated.
No. 1: This lucite four poster bed is a thing of beauty. Sweet dreams will be an automatic must in it.
No. 2: The bed is so glam and modern that I like the idea of adding something totally opposite to it like pairing these trio of garden rose photos.
No. 3:Jade green has always been one of my go-to colors. I painted my kitchen floors the same shade and have never regretted it. Since this is a make believe style plan I’m going to pretend I have a crazy budget and treat myself to these amazing vintage murano lamps.
No. 4: I was searching for nightstands and stumbled upon the metro nightstand. I thought it was a vintage piece, but it turns out it’s a new piece by CB2. I love the sexy look of it. How amazing is that hardware? It’s always nice to pair sweet flowers with sexy glam accents.
No. 5: Purple and green always work together. I like the best when they are in pale shades like jade/mint green and lilac/lavender. So, when I found this settee it looked like it was meant to be. The tufting and color add a nice feminine dose to the space.
No. 6: I love Crane & Canopy bedding. It’s all I use in my bedroom and I source it all of them time to clients. They just launched a Belgian linen duvet collection named Lane. It’s pre-washed, which makes it perfectly soft and cozy. It’s also the perfect base to pile on the pillows!
No. 8: This rug would look amazing under the bed and it is available in 10ft x 13ft, which is a nice large size that will still give you a good amount of pattern around the bed. It’s a reproduction vintage rug, which means the price won’t break the bank.
This is a great start on a bedroom design! Some one needs to take it and run with it!
Any suggestions for the kind of style you want to see next week.

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
Love the rug. Can you please tell me details where you found it? There’s no link. Thanks!!
