You know I love to zhush things up. In my mind more is more! I’m constantly customizing items that I pick up. Nothing is safe in my hands! 🙂 Case in point the classic Easter basket. Now there is nothing wrong with a timeless classic, but I like things a little more colorful in my house. Taking a peek into my craft closet I saw leftover yarn from a DIY Pom Pom basket post and an idea was born!
This easy DIY takes minimal supplies.Looking for an ample supply of wicker Easter baskets? Head to your local thrift store. All of the ones by me are full of them and the majority are $1-$3!
Step 1: Glue your yarn into place so, that you can start covering the handle in yarn. If you don’t have a glue gun don’t fret. You can actually just tie on it as well.
Step 2: Wind as much as you like of your first color and then glue or tie it into place and start up with your next color.
Step 3: Add yarn tassels to the base of the handle.
Step 4: Fill up with treats! I try to keep the candy to minimum. My boys are the only grandkids/nephews in our family so, they end up with a lot of Easter baskets. So, I made this basket up with gardening supplies, which my boys are obsessed with. It’s a mix of goodies from Target’s Dollar stop and my local dollar store for the cute box and bunny.
Hope this helps you get your Easter bunny skills to a new level!
