DIY Anthropologie Tassel Throw

The second I saw this Anthropologie tassel throw I wanted it. I love how exaggerated
the tassels were and all of the color on the creamy background! Now, did I need a new throw? No, especially one that was over $100. So, I didn’t order it and decided instead to DIY one instead! It was a pretty simple project and would make for an amazing Christmas gift!

You will need a creamy chenille throw. I love this version from Target that is currently on sale for $17.99!

Then you just need to find a colorful yarn to make massive yarn tassels! Lion Brand makes lots of colorful yarns and is pretty affordable yarn wise. Isacc Mizrahi also makes amazing yarn!

Make your hearts content of tassels and then attach them to your blanket. Since I wanted my tassel to really be out there and have the tassels really pouffy I did a little trick when I sewed them on. I attached the tassel on one of the rows of the chenille and then went up 3 rows and stitched it up to that row. Voila! Lots of pouf!

It’s really that simple. Purchase throw, make tassels out of yarn, sew on tassels to throw and enjoy!

      I would make sure to hand wash, but you should be able to wash it. I guess it depends on tightly you sew the pom pom tassels on.
