Whew! What a doozy of week. Getting back into the swing of things this week hit a big pause when we got hit with a snow storm. Not just any snow storm but a snow bomb cyclone. Sounds nice, right. I thought the media was just overreacting, but the snow came and we got hit with almost 2 ft plus crazy winds! The boys had off yesterday, which meant lots of playing, baking and crafting. I was not expecting today to be another school day, but it’s bitterly cold and the roads are still bad so, another snow day it is!
While the end of my week got turned upside down the beginning of the week started off strong! I was actually able to meet up with Samantha of Samantha B Studios. I met Samantha a couple of months ago thru Rising Tide Society, but this is the first time we got to work together and it was lovely! We have similar personalities so, we just got each other and things went super smoothly! Can’t wait to share the images!
Here is a little sneak peek of one of the rooms! Photo taken by me not her.
Here are this weeks Friday finds:
-The amazing pink, brass and marble table lamp from the photo above! It’s from Target and it’s so pretty! It’s really well made at an amazing $49 price point and the attention to detail on it is perfection. The cord for it is even a pale pink. Snatch one or two up before they disappear.
-Another fabulous find from the image above is the dreamy linen bedding. Typically I find linen to be a little too thin and itchy, but not this bedding! It’s super soft and has a nice weight to it, which means you can use it all season long. I loved the gray color as well. It made for a super inviting bed! I wanted to jump right in with a cup of tea and magazine!
-More is more for this lady and I’m now thinking I need to add a faux fur coat to my winter wardrobe. I’m in need of a new coat and originally was thinking of some sort of puffer coat to keep me warm, but while I was out shopping I found this faux fur coat and it was love at first sight. Not only is it super pretty, but really warm. I still haven’t pulled the trigger, but I can’t stop thinking about it.
-I did pull the trigger and treated myself to these new gloves. I lose gloves like I lose sunglasses so I don’t like spending a ton on them. These were normally more then I typically spend with an original price of $58, but are on crazy sale and come up to $18.49!
– I know it’s winter, but I’m already thinking about warmer days and these chic chic gingham sandals are a must buy! Crazy sale again with a 70% discount and many sizes still available!!!!
-World Market is having an amazing furniture sale! One of my favorite velvet sofas is currently on sale! I’m all about the deep green and brass accents! Plus it’s perfect lines.
Happy Friday, all!
My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
