Mud cloth is become quite a popular fabric in the past couple of years. It is actually a tribal African cloth that is dyed with mud. You are able to find vintage pieces of it on etsy or ebay, but there is also a lot of reproduced mud cloth available. It’s used quite a bit for pillows in that pretty California Bohemiem style that we all know and love from Amber Interiors. I have always loved the style, but it’s not something that typically merges well with my new traditional style that is my personal favorite. That is until I found this mud cloth x-bench.
I’m pretty obsessed with it! How chic would a pair of these look at the base of a bed! Swoon! To make them more effortlessly stylish I would gave the metal base of color with spraypaint. I’m thinking a bold pink would do quite nicely!
Hurry, hurry and pick some up! Mud cloth not your thing? Don’t fret there is also a dreamy striped version that would work perfectly with more traditional decor!
