Typically I’m a tea drinker, but a couple of years ago I tried a caramel macchiato at Starbucks and I was smitten. I still love tea and drink a cup most days, but lately this tired momma has also been having a coffee as well! Well, I wasn’t exactly making the coffee myself. I was heading out to Starbucks and spending $5.05 for my caramel macchiato and constantly re-loading my card on the Starbucks app. I was doing this pretty much daily! Seeing it all add up snapped me into reality and I realized I should try and make a copy cat Starbucks caramel macchiato at home! I found a couple of recipes and tested a bunch out and then came up with my own version, which tastes exactly like the Starbucks ones I’m use to! I shared it on instagram and my followers were interested in the recipe, so I figured you would all enjoy it as well.
So, here is how I make a Starbucks caramel macchiato at home without an espresso machine. I make mine a skinny version, but you can do what you like!
I have a Keurig at home so, that’s what I use for my copy cat caramel macchiato.
Step 2: Make sure to use a dark roast k-cup in your Keurig. I mainly use the Starbucks Italian Roast K-cups, but I have also used Dark French Roast and other brands of K-cups and it doesn’t change the taste. You need strong coffee and since you aren’t using an espresso machine, make sure to make the smallest cup (6 oz) available on your Keurig.
Step 3: I warm up my non-fat milk in the microwave for 2 mins and then froth it with a hand held frother. It’s easy to use, does a great job and small enough to easily be stored in your kitchen.
Step 4: Your cup is now layered with the vanilla syrup, dark roast coffee and frothed milk. To finish it off simply add a drizzle of caramel sauce and then stir!
That’s it! Super easy and it’s an amazing copy cat version!

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]
Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]
For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]
