I have been making my rounds and venturing out to all of my local Targets to check out their Opalhouse display. The collection just launched and it’s a colorful new line filled with items that have a boho flair and look like they have come from your travels. Many of the items are already sold out in store and online, but I have checked out the entire collection and this here is a round up of my favorite Opalhouse must haves!
No. 1 They have so many pretty pillows especially with pops of orange and pink. My favorites are the floral embroidered shams, diamond tufted lumbar pillow, orange diamond tufted pillow with tassels and sequins and pink tufted pillow.
No. 2 Leaf table lamp: Love the glam yet eclectic vibe of this lamp. It’s a fresh take on the banana leaf pattern.
No. 3 Rattan elephant basket: This little guy already came home with me. It’s a no brainer at only $25. It’s a nice size and provides a little dose of storage for a desk or vanity or use it as planter.
No. 4 Pineapple tea light taper: Love the gold tone and scale of this piece. A pair would be nice on your dining room table or sprinkle it on a bookcase for styling.
No. 5 Striped Patio Umbrella: Love the shape of this outdoor umbrella. It’s different and fun! Plus it’s pink and has tasseled so, I loved it immediately.
No. 6 Woven Cotton Throw: This beauty would work perfectly in my living room. I love having cozy throws to wrap myself in and this beauty could also be used as a picnic blanket.
No. 7 Blush Velvet Curtain Panel with Tassels: The palest pink can always be used as a neutral. Adore that these are velvet and I’m already trying to figure out where I can use them.
No. 8 Mango Wood Serving Bowl: I love this pattern but I just want a small dose of it. I think this would be so pretty on a kitchen island or for coffee table styling.
No. 9 Melamine Peacock Plate: I have a soft spot for peacocks, because my last name, Pavone means peacock in Italian. So, it’s a popular animal in Jon’s family. These plates are calling my name and since they are melamine they work perfectly for the kids.
No. 10 Picnic basket set: Love the shape of this basket. Not sure if I would actually picnic with it, but I would totally use it for styling/storage.
No. 11 Pineapple Shower Curtain: Love this pineapple pattern. It’s a pretty shade of orange and love the scale of the pineapple.
No. 12 Bath Mat: Normally bath mats don’t get me excited, but I loved this when I saw it in the store and again online. It’s just fun and could really dress up a plain jane bathroom.
Have you shopped the Opalhouse collection yet? Any favorites? There were so many pieces it was hard to narrow down my favorites!
My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
