I love the work of photography of Lucy Cuneo. They are stunning and beautiful and what my dreams are made of, but I do not have the budget for them. So, what’s a girl to do? Figure out how to DIY her own version until she can own the real deal! I love flowers and have fresh ones on a weekly basis. One of the last times I had ranunculus they opened so beautifully that I knew it was the perfect time to try making my own oversized floral artwork print.
Basically all you need is a white background. I use a foam board that I have around for styling photos for the blog. Then I cut the stems way down and go to work arranging them. If your flowers are flopping around it’s really use to just glue them down with a glue gun for speed and ease. Last step? You just snap away!
I decided to try out Costco’s photo services, because the boys are having an obsession with churros and I’m there more than I like to admit to pick some up for them. I went bold and had them print it at 20″ x 30″ for around $10. I’m happy to report I loved the quality and will be back!
I set it up in my studio where I have a little bar cart area and then dressed it up! Wouldn’t it be the perfect set up for a Bridal Shower or Mother’s Day!
Sources: Drink dispenser, Pineapple tea towel, Sparkling lemonade from Trader Joe’s, Sip Sip Hooray champagne glasses was a DIY project, Gold foil straws (144 for $6)Bar cart is a vintage TV cart that I gave a little face lift.
I love sweets and added some of my favorites like a lemon tart and key lime tea cakes from Trader Joe’s they fit right at home in my vintage dish and cake stand.
On the bottom shelve I took my vintage brass ice bucket and filled it with flowers instead!
Are they not the prettiest? Again another Trader Joe’s find!
Like the greek key lucite tray? I made it and you can too! DIY directions here!
I’m so happy with how it all came together. The artwork is quite the focal point! I loved the size I picked, but of course you can print it and whatever size you like and frame it horizontally as well?

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]

How do subscribers download the oversized floral print?
Hi Darlene,
When you sign up via the link in the post you will get it emailed to you. If you signed up previously for the RSS feed of the blog then you will get it later this week as I’m setting it up on Mailchimp and I’m a still a newbie with it.
