Sometimes you just want to head to Brooklyn and drink some tea with hipsters and now thanks to the Williamsburg Hotel you can just do that! This weekend we headed off to Williamsburg on Royal Wedding Day aka Saturday! Fascinators and crazy British accents were put on and we enjoyed a delightful couple of hours at the Williamsburg’s Hotel restaurant, Harvey, to take part in their high tea.
How beautiful is this hotel! It looks like once upon it was just a big open space and then they put up these beautiful brick walls with amazing arches. Check out the amazing spiral staircase and hubba hubba with those floors!
Here is the opposite end of the hotel bar where you can see the tea cart they have promoting their High Tea and a little seating area.
Here is a little peek into their restaurant, Harvey.
Aren’t the tables so pretty! Love the scalloped tabletop details and cool tiled flooring.
If you were coming for lunch it looks like you were seated in the pretty area above with all of the beautiful tiling. When you were having tea you got seated in banquettes behind the bar area.
They had the prettiest teapots from T2. They were so colorful and had the prettiest color combos. Everyone got a little teapot and cup combo and there was unlimited hot water refills.
We also got delicious treats on a tiered treat stand! It’s one tiered stand per 2 people. The bottom layer has savory treats like a brie and apple sandwiches and avocado toast. There is also a salmon option. The top two tiers are all sweet!
Fascinators and tea! A winning combo!
We had to a take a pretty picture before we devoured all of the food! We took our time and enjoyed the music and atmosphere. It was a rainy day so, the perfect day to stay inside with a warm cup of tea. I noticed that the girls next to us who had high tea left their tiered treats pretty much intact. We did not have the same problem. I was literally separating my treats so, my sister didn’t get confused and eat one of mine by accident!
Of course before I left I had to check out the bathroom like any good blogger! I always like to see if they kept up the design/vibe in the bathroom or if they just went standard and blah. Luckily their bathroom did not disappoint!
All in all it was a lovely outing and I highly recommend checking it out if you are in the NY area of traveling to the New York. It’s in a really nice part of Brooklyn full of shops and restaurants!
My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
