A couple of years ago I made my first trip to the Catskills and it was love at first site. It’s only a 2-2.5 hour scenic drive, which makes it perfect for a weekend trip! I have gone a handful of times now and my favorite place to stay is Hubert House! Hubert House is […]

Cozy Winter Weekend in the Catskills

A couple of weekends ago we made a little day trip into Connecticut and decided to do a little thrifting, antiquing, junking, aka whatever you call going to flea markets and trying to score an amazing deal! Litchfield County in Connecticut is full of antique shops that you can easily pop in and out of, […]

Happily Wander Upon: Domino Park

This weekend we had zero plans so on Friday I decided that one of our activities for the weekend had to be going to Silly Lily Marina in East Moriches. It was about a 45 min drive from where I live and a little bit before you hit the Hamptons. It use to just be […]

Happily Wander Upon: SILLY LILY MARINA

My parents swear that I have been to Coney Island, but I have zero recollection of it. I have always been intrigued by it and have visions of it from movies…hello Uptown Girls and this weekend I got to experience it as an adult! I’m not one for rides because I’m a big chicken, but […]

Happily Wander Upon: Coney Island

For the longest time whenever I have been asked where I live I always tell people, “Well I live on Long Island now, but I grew up in Manhattan.” Gotta keep up that city cred! Plus when main stream America sees Long Island Princesses on Bravo, I think I need to clarify that I’m so […]

If you know me then you know that camping is not my thing. If you know my husband Jon, then you know it’s totally his thing! What can I say! Opposites attract! We have been together 18 years and we finally went camping Memorial Day weekend 2016 and surprisingly I liked it! So, when Jon […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
