Etsy Spotlight: Chic at the Beach
I need to let you in a little secret! Jon despises mostly everything on Bravo. The Housewives? He just doesn’t get why I watch. Why are they so mean to each other, blah, blah, blah. The Andy Cohen show? Nope. We would rather just go to sleep then sit thru it. I, on the other hand, love everything that Bravo puts out. The world is so stressful that I like having something to watch that is just like a trashy tabloid. It distracts from reality for a bit and it’s blissful. The only show that we both love on Bravo is Below Deck! If you are not watching then you must get on board. I have been watching since the beginning and it’s one of my favorites. Who doesn’t want to see crazy rich people on a yacht acting like nutty and seeing how the crew tackles it all! The best part is that this season they are off the coast of Italy and the views are just breathtaking. ( I swear I’m going somewhere with this long Bravo rant. ) Due to all of the dreamy views of the Italian coast and my intense desire to go all Under the Tuscan sun and move to a villa in Tuscany and then travel to Positano in a creamy white dress I started looking up Italian coast photography and found Chic at the Beach. See, I told you it would all come together. Don’t you love seeing how my brain works. Haha.
Swoon worthy right? I’m pretty obsessed. They give me Slim Aaaron/Gray Malin vibes which I always love. They are full of bold colors, but also give off a vintage vibe. They would look amazing in beach house, but honestly they would look fab anywhere!

ON THE BLOG
My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
Positano and Capri are JUST as beautiful as they appear on “Below Deck” and in these photos. Met my daughter there for a week during her “study abroad” break in May. Magnificent. As for love of all things Bravo – I’ve stopped explaining myself since OC season 1…hubby likes sports and C-span, I do my thing…
Oh! So jealous of your trip! I’m dying to go!
Funny…I used to be a chef on private yachts. We used to joke about having a reality television program about us….now it’s real. (And made for tv!)
Another funny thing is I used to work out on the east end, work in the city and drive back and forth through Long Island. I’ve always been into design but definitely loved your blog because you were on Long Island. And, of course, your style.
