Guys, I have a something to tell you. I have become a soccer mom. Oh yes! Both boys are now enrolled in soccer and our weekends are now filled with practices and games. To be honest I didn’t really think I would enjoy it, but I wanted them to have the experience. Surprising I love it! We are not a big sports family and I never really enjoy watching any sort of game on TV, but when it’s Hudson or Asher out there I can’t get enough. I scream and yell encouragement from the sidelines. I’m a total stage mom. The funniest thing is that it’s not just me. Jon has gotten really into as well and enjoys yelling as well! Plus we roll deep with both sides of our immediate family attending games. The boys always have quite the cheering section.
On Saturday it’s Asher’s turn for soccer. His is more like a class/practice and at the end they break up and do little games.
The boys also got their hair cut! We need to go so frequently with them. They go to a traditional barber shop and they love it.
Then we headed to a nearby Colombian bakery and got lots of goodies! I can’t help myself when I’m in there. Jon and I both love to get Pandebono’s which is a Colombian cheese bread. So good!!!
We also checked out an open house down the block from my parents house. The location was ideal, but that was it. They claimed to have 5 bedrooms and 3 full baths, but really if you considered all of those rooms bedrooms than you had living room, or dining room or den/office. You really only had 2 bedrooms and the layout was awful.
Why oh why did Asher decide to roll around the dirty carpet in the living room/bedroom.
Then we went home to enjoy the beautiful day outdoors!!!!
On Sundays Hudson typically has a game! Bright and early we were up to cheer on our guy. Hudson is loving playing and really enjoys practice and games. The only issue is that he is super nice, so he doesn’t like stealing the ball from anyone or even trying to kick super hard. He also gets super distracted when he is the goalie. All of the kids seem to, because it’s pretty boring when there is no action, but in split section all the action can be there! I do a lot of screaming for Hudson to focus and pay attention to the game. I told you guys, stage mom. I have gone off the deep end. He also does a cute little jump whenever he kicks the ball.
The rest of the day was spent outside tackling the backyard. We popped into Walmart to see what they had going on in their garden center. This massive hydrangeas caught my eye right away!
The boys really enjoyed this LED lightswitch display! In seconds they had all of them turned on!
Don’t worry I made them turn them all off before we left.
We picked up a bunch of veggie plants and started cleared up an area in the backyard to get it all set up! Hopefully we will get a little farm going!
In between clearing out the yard, which included Jon cutting down a bunch of a tree that was really over grown all of the Pavone men made this! A tee-pee/shelter out of all of the branches. They have been watching a little too much of Naked and Afraid!
We were all exhausted by the end of the day!!!
My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
