The cold has quickly started to hit us in NY. I had to grab my winter coat and gloves last week and the snow on the forecast for this week. The cold weather season is finally upon us. I have been on the hunt for a new winter coat this year and was very excited for this coat, but arrived and the color was nowhere near as bright as the photo. I wanted to look like a neon highlighter and it looked like pea soup. Such a bummer! The hunt for the perfect coat continues, but I did find some bright and colorful cold-weather accessories to add a little fun to your coat!
No. 1 During my search for cold weather gear I did a coat that got me excited. It comes in this pretty purple that I have loving lately. It’s also available in a bright pink, green, yellow and red! I’m going to get it and test it out!
No. 2 How cute is this beanie! It has stripes, sparkle and a pom pom. Plus it’s only $12.99!!! It would make for a cute holiday gift.
No. 3 When it’s not that cold I love just wearing a wrap, cape, poncho. Whatever you want to call it. I can wear a sweater and then just layer it on top. This poncho has been calling my name for over a week now.
No. 4 I love this idea and wish I had thought of it myself. You can pick a base beanie that has a snap on top for your pick of many poms! From yarn poms to faux fur in a variety of colors.
No. 5 How cozy does this pull over look! I love the bold color and it would be great for running around during the day.
No. 6 The happiest hat I ever did see! Plus it would go lovely with the purple puffer coat that caught my eye.
No. 7 Love this style of gloves. I can wear them as mittens when I’m super cold, but then open them and just wear them as finger less gloves when I need to use my phones. I always find that those technology touch gloves never work for me.
No. 8 This scarf arrived over the weekend and I love it. It’s super soft and very long! I have an army green puffer coat that I use in the Fall and this scarf is going to go really nice with it.
No. 9 Soft fuzzy mittens that I would probably iron on some sort of monogram or an H and I for HI! Plus they are currently on sale for $10!
No. 10 I have never seen brightly colored snowboots so, I was very excited when I found these green ones that are also available in orange and only around $30! So cute!
Happy Shopping!
My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
