I recently got some new makeup goodies for Christmas and I have been loving them and wanted to share! I like to do my make up every day. I don’t feel ready for the day until my face is put on. I have never been one to just put on chapstick and head out the door. I have a bit of freckles on my face and under-eye circles that I just don’t feel comfortable without at least some concealer, blush and mascara. So today I’m going to be sharing my current make up routine. I’m happy to report that nothing is super expensive and the majority of the products can be picked up at Target!
my current makeup routineAll of the products on the graphic link to the actual items! Woo-hoo! Took a bit to figure it all out but hopefully, it works for you and makes it easier.
Here is my before:
Then a did my make up routine, which has a good amount of products, but it doesn’t take that long at all. Jon might disagree with that comment. First up is my moisturizer and eye cream, which I put on when I wake up so, that it has time to seep in while I make my bed. Once that’s done I apply my foundation. Typically I just use a tinted moisturizer or BB cream, but I just found this foundation and its super light with amazing coverage and SPF. I have been loving it!!!! After foundation, I apply my concealer. I have had dark under eyes forever and I hate it! I have tested out so many concealers and my favorite is Maybelline instant age rewind. I love it! It has great coverage and doesn’t crease. For Christmas, I got Color Science 3 in 1 eye renewal, which works immediately, but takes weeks to show it’s true effects. So, now I have been using Color Science first and then applying a little Maybelline Instant Age Rewind to finish it up. Next up is eyes! I love my LORAC palette, which has eye shadows and bronzer and blush. Typically for a normal day. I will wear a little of the lightest eye shadow to give a little shimmer. Then I apply my new obsession, Mile High Mascara by Wander Beauty!!!!! It looks like I have false lashes on! I finish it up with my favorite brow gel, Brow Drama by Maybelline. To finish up my face I apply a little bronzer and blush combo from my LORAC palette. If I’m going out then I add lipstick. I’m really liking these Powder Puff Lippies from NYX. They are only $3.99, come in bright colors and are super creamy! If I’m feeling a little extra than I add a little highlighter under my eyebrows, in the corners of my eyes and on my cupid’s bow.
Here is my after:

Here I am later in the day and it’s still going strong!
Happy Shopping!
My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
Thanks for sharing this…I have really dark circles under my eyes…I’ll be trying at least one of these under eye products. I’ve also been wanting to try an inexpensive brow gel that didn’t include fibers, so I’ll give this one a shot 🙂
Yay! The brow gel is amazing and I get price point! I love the concealer as well! I will report back on Color Science is a couple of weeks and see what it looks without make up.
