We made it! The end of the work/school on week 7 of quarantine! How are you all doing? We are hanging in there here in NY. We have gotten into a good groove of how to tackle the mix of work and home schooling plus all of the TV binging at night. This week I binged Never Have I Ever, which is a teen coming of age series on Netflix by Mindy Kaling. I loved it! I also started WACO this week with Jon and we have both really enjoyed it. I had no idea what happened in Wace in the early 90’s so it’s all been really interesting. Now, here are my friday finds that caught my eye online this week!
-My friend mentioned Mani Me to me a couple of weeks ago and I loved the concept of it. It’s a stick-on gel manicure that is custom made for your nails with 3-d printing. It’s really cool to go on their site and take a photo of your nails to make sure they are a perfect fit. They have the stick on gel maincure in solid colors, but for me the best part is the designs! They are super easy to apply, they are toxin free and when you want to take them off you just lift them off! It’s literally just like a sticker that will last 10-14 days. Your nails are not damaged at all afterwards! I’m hooked! What to try them yourself? Order through this link to get $5 off!!!! I can’t wait to see what you do! I still have two more sets to wear!
-Did you have Teva’s when you were younger? I rocked them during middle school and they have made quite the comeback. How fun are these by Jcrew. 40% off with code SHOPNEW. They are calling my name!!!! They even have kid sizes! I think they are going to be calling Hudson and Asher’s name as well! They look perfect for the summer.
-How fun are these enamel rings! They are making me all sorts of happy! If you need a little pick me up I highly recommend treating yourself!
-Self-Care has been how I have been treating myself during quarantine. I ordered this hair clay mask because my hair gets oily super easily! It has been awesome and has made hair able to longer between washes. I also picked up a damage erasing balm and it works amazingly to help fuse split ends together so you don’t feel the need to peel them apart. Please tell me I’m not the only one that does this. My hair is in desperate need of a haircut so adding these new products has helped me scratch that itch and put the scissors away.
-I also tested out an Aztez clay mask that you can use on your face and hair. I did the face and while it was itchy to wait for it to dry at the end it was worth it. My skin was glowing and very smooth. I’m adding it to my weekly routine.
Happy Friday!
My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
