I’m not sure but smiley faces have been on my mind lately. Nowadays I’m sure everything sees a smiley face and thinks emojis, but back in the day, they were one of my favorite things to just doodle! I did a deep dive a couple of days ago trying to see what was out there in the smiley face genre when it comes to fashion and home and I found a sweet little round-up of my favorites!
No. 1 Kerri Rosenthal is one of my favorite artists out of Westport. CT. She paints the happiest pieces and her smiley faces are no exception. How fun is this Smile Pass It On art print! I think it would look so cute in the boys’ new room!
No. 2 Chic knitted happy face sweater is a perfect addition to add to your closet! It will be perfect for the end of summer and fall! You will never guess where it is from!
No. 3 A neon smiley face sign would be another great addition for my boys’ room or a playroom! A fun dose of whimsy!
No. 4 This smiley face bath mat is meant for a bathroom, but I feel like I buy a bunch and make a pattern within the floor of a playroom. Crazy or brilliant? Let’s go with brilliant!
No. 5 I love quirky items sprinkled throughout a bookcase. This smiley face bowl would be perfect within books or on a console table.

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
