HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

outside-pool-cabanas-at-the-rockaway-hotel

I have lived in NY all of my life! Until I was twelve, I lived in downtown Manhattan, and from twelve on, I have lived in Nassau County, Long Island. We take adventures all of the time and I thought I had seen a lot of NY especially within its 5 boroughs, but I had […]

COOKING-WITH-PARIS-IS-ONE-OF-THIS-WEEKS-FRIDAY-FINDS

This week my TV game has been very strong this week. Perhaps it’s the rainy weather or my inability to fall asleep before 1 am. No one knows for sure. So, for this week Friday finds it’s going to be filled with some TV recommendations and some Instagram finds that I stumbled upon while scrolling […]

This past weekend I was in and out of home improvement stores and I was surprised to see a pair of boobs at the end cap of the lighting aisle! These flush mounts most commonly referred to as boob lights were sold as a set of 2 for less than $25. I get the appeal […]

FROM-SOLD-TO-HOME-HOME-UPDATES

Let me tell you when we first started this project I thought I was going to be flying with all of the projects, but that is never the reality of a home renovation. In typical renovation fashion, it has been delay after delay! Add to that a contractor that went AWOL and you have a […]

From Sold to Home: House Progress Update!

front-porch-goals

Fall is in the air and while I don’t enjoy anything pumpkin related when it comes to food I do adore the color and shape!!! I’m not a huge seasonal decorator. I tend to go a bit nuts around Christmas time, but I don’t do a lot of swapping out of items throughout the year. […]

I don’t know if I’m crazy or brilliant as of yet, but I have decided to take part in the Fall One Room Challenge and tackle the two bathrooms in our new house!!!!!! I figured nothing but a concrete deadline to get a fire under my butt and make sure the contractor is moving along […]

design-plan-for-a-colorful-kids-bathroom

I recently finished up a colorful kids bathroom design plan for a client and I thought it would be fun to share it with you! This bathroom is in the clients basement/playroom and will used mostly by their kids, which means we need things to be durable and have a dose of whimsey. The footprint […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
