HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

striped tassel pillows pier 1 imports

I tend to forget about Pier 1 Imports even though I have a location less than 5 mins away from me. The other day I was driving by and actually had some time so, I decided to go in and take a look around! I found so many fun finds that I had to share […]

EASTER GARLAND MADE OUT OF POM POMS

It’s the first day of Spring and we are set to have another snow storm tomorrow here in NY! Even though the weather is still chilly outside I have been trying to get into the spirit of spring indoors! I don’t typically decorate for holidays with Christmas being the exception, but once you have kids […]

diy holiday jewelry holder

Along with crafting some holiday decor ideas I picked up some extra crafting supplies to make a couple of gifts as well! I really wasn’t sure what I was going to make until inspiration hit! I found adorable glitter stag busts that were meant to go into floral arrangements or wreaths. They immediately went into […]

Scenes from my weekend…

There is nothing better than coming in from a chilly day and wrapping your hands around a warm mug of hot cocoa. So, when Home Decorators Collection ® contacted me to part of their HDC Holiday Home Tour with some of my blogger friends I knew exactly what I would do! I love a good […]

Holiday Hot Cocoa Station

halloween wreath with spider

This weekend I decided to tackle our front stoop and zhush it up a bit. I don’t normally do a lot of seasonal decorating. Not because I don’t like it, but because I can never find the time for it. I also don’t have a ton of storage in my house so, having to store […]

Fall Front Door Decor

burlap wreath with monogram

Fall has officially arrived! It’s still pretty hot around NY. I’m actually sitting here in shorts as I write this post, but we can now start decorating for Fall and going out for hot apple cider! I don’t do a lot of seasonal decorating. I’m so busy that by the time I got Halloween going […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
